The Planning Commission meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall. One of our current projects is examining current use of the town office building (Twitchell Building) space and gathering input from town officials and boards regarding office space needs as we look to planning improvements to the building. Our second project is working to improve communications both internally (within the town office, employees, and boards) and externally (with town organizations, churches, and town officials). The immediate emphasis is planning improvements to the town web site so that is more comprehensive and more current.
Attendance: Sharon Crossman, Larry Gubb, Joel Kuhlberg, Paul Gordon and Emmett Dunbar
The RFPs were mailed on January 17th, an open building session was held on January 28th and a single proposal was received from Cole Company Inc. on February 7th.
The PC reviewed the proposal. Larry will contact Chris Cole regarding clarification of item 2, Code Review and Report.
It was the consensus of the board to accept part 1, 2, and 3 of the proposal provided item 2 covers all state code requirements and there will be a decision point following items 1 and 2.
The PC will recommend acceptance to the SB at the next SB meeting pending monies being available per warning.
Paul reported that Simon has been doing an excellent job of updating the website on a weekly basis.
Discussion was held regarding the cost of adding a secure sign-up form on the town web site for community members to register for the Town Email Contact List.
We plan to have a sign-up sheet at Town Meeting for people to provide their email addresses for the Town Contact List.
A conversation ensued regarding what groups and what content should be included on the website pursuant to our update costs.
We decided not to further update or edit Kelly and Julie’s work on the Londonderry information for the Byways draft proposal from WRC. Paul will contact Kelly to express thanks for their work and have them forward the updates to Matt Mann.
Joel will seek information from past efforts regarding the “River Walk” along Main Street from Memorial Park to the Rt. 11 Bridge.
There has been interest shown for the opening on the PC by several people and they will be asked to submit a letter of interest to the PC.
