Theater Curtain Presentation and Annual Board Meeting June 27th

As part of our efforts to support the restoration of the Town Hall theater curtains, especially the View From the Rhine theater curtain created by the Charles Huiest Studio of Troy, NY in 1890, there will be a slide presentation by Christine Hadsel, Project Director, Painted Theater Curtains of Vermont starting at 5PM Wednesday, June 27th in The Town Hall on Middletown Road. Her efforts in directing the project have received national and international recognition, since 1996 when she procured a grant from the National Trust. To date 111 curtains out of the 177 in Vermont have been conserved and restored on site.   Come learn more about these Vermont treasures and how you might help restore them to their former glory.

Following the presentation there will be a short break and our annual business meeting, approving the minutes of the last meeting, reviewing the Treasurer’s Report, nominating officers and addressing such other business as the membership wishes, will be held.

Please join us for refreshments after our meeting.
