The timeline for plan
preparation, review and implementation is as follows:
January 2007
Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation agrees
to write a Long Range Management Plan for the Shamberg Property
at the request of the Londonderry Conservation Commission.
May - July 2007
State foresters collect all necessary data for natural resource
inventory and mapping.
December 2007 - February 2008
Draft LRMP to be written.
April 2008
Draft LRMP presented to Londonderry Conservation Commission.
May 2008
Draft LRMP presented to Londonderry Selectboard. Copies distributed
for review.
August 2008
Draft LRMP put on website and available in the Town Clerks
office for a 60 day public review and comment period.
September 2008
Press release to announce the public involvement meeting
in October.
October 2008
Present the Draft LRMP at a public meeting. Have a 30 day
comment period. Make any correction/addition to the Draft
LRMP.
November 2008
Submit final plan to the selectboard for signature.
January 2009
Start to implement plan recommendations.
