The
commission is authorized by State of Vermont statute
(Titile 24, Chapter 118) and reports to the Londonderry
Town Select Board.
Commission
members are volunteers; the work of the commission is
supported by an administrative assistant. Appointments
to the commission are made by the Select Board, usually
for a period of 4 years.
The
commission advises the Select Board and planning commission
concerning matters pertaining to conservation of natural
resources in the town of Londonderry and undertakes projects
on behalf of conservation.
